It was a festival showcasing the works of digital artists on one of the largest facade screens in Europe, attracting the attention of the international community.

This festival became the country's first event of its kind, setting a precedent in the integration of technology and digital art. We meticulously crafted the concept of the festival and established the rules of the competition, aiming to foster an environment where creativity meets technology at its pinnacle. An original visual style was introduced, alongside promotional materials that captured the essence of this groundbreaking event. Additionally, we developed a dedicated landing page designed to attract participants from around the globe, emphasizing the festival's commitment to showcasing innovative digital art.

The use of five large facade screens presented a challenging technical task, yet it served as an ideal platform for displaying the participants' works during the competition. 

To encourage innovation and push the boundaries of digital expression, we accepted submissions in cutting-edge formats within two main categories: Tech-heavy media art and Digital art. This inclusion highlighted our dedication to exploring the vast potential of digital creativity. Among the submissions, 3D videos stood out, creating an effect of complete immersion that captivated the viewers, allowing them to dive deep into the visual narratives crafted by the artists. Furthermore, we introduced an NFT category, recognizing the burgeoning field of digital assets and their impact on the art world. This category not only showcased the festival's adaptability to new digital trends but also provided a platform for artists to explore and present their works in the realm of blockchain technology.

By embracing these innovative formats, UART MEDIA FEST positioned itself at the forefront of digital art exhibitions, offering both artists and attendees an unparalleled experience that fused the latest technological advancements with artistic creativity.

Objectives, Planning, and Execution:

The realization of UART MEDIA FEST was an effort that required the seamless collaboration and expertise of our project team, consisting of employees from our agency and freelancers, each playing a pivotal role in bringing this project to life.

The event became not only a platform for showcasing talent but also a significant contribution to supporting Ukrainian art and culture during a difficult period. The festival's social goals included supporting educational programs and promoting Ukrainian artists on the international stage.

In the planning phase, we faced a challenge - ensuring the safety of all participants, considering the country's state of martial law. To address this, we implemented an online format for remote viewing and arranged for organized shelters, emergency exits, and evacuation plans in case of alarms. Throughout the event, special services were on standby, having been invited in advance to provide additional security and peace of mind for everyone involved.

Additionally, the preparation process included a selection of participants. The first phase was the screening round, where we processed all applications received from various sources, selected content, and communicated with potential participants to assist them in preparing their work to the fullest. Those who passed the initial selection were guided by us through to the broadcasting stage. This comprehensive effort ensured a seamless presentation of their work on the screens of UART MEDIA FEST underpinning the festival's success and its profound impact on the art community and beyond.

Result:

The festival attracted participants and viewers from different countries, showcasing the unifying power of cultural diversity and innovative art.

UART MEDIA FEST captivated over 1000 on-site viewers at the Gulliver Business Center and nearly 4000 online viewers, amplifying its reach and impact.

Participants and viewers have expressed significant appreciation for the festival, highlighting its substantial effect on the art community and eagerness for its continuation. Artists received a platform to present their work, creating valuable portfolio pieces and securing commissions for collaborations both in Ukraine and internationally. Motivated by the success and the support received, they are actively preparing new works for submission in the upcoming 2024 festival. Participants highlighted it as an incredible opportunity to see and showcase their creativity on Ukraine's largest platform. This supported and inspired them to create, dream, and keep the light inside.

The overwhelming response has led to an even larger number of applications for participation in the next festival.
